Wuthering Waves: The Last Knight Quest Walkthrough

Author : Andrew Feb 21,2025

This guide details the "The Last Knight" side quest in Honkai: Star Rail's Wuthering Waves region. It's a shorter quest than some, offering a glimpse into life outside Ragunna City and rewarding players with various items.

Quick Links

The Last Knight unlocks after completing Chapter 2 of the main storyline (specifically, "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing"). It's recommended to finish Chapter 2, Act 3 before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests are locked until then.

Starting the Quest

Locate Cosimo in Egla Town, Whisperwind Haven. He's near the first house by the main road, marked by a blue quest marker.

The Night Reveries

This involves defeating the Mad Knight, who only appears at night (18:00 to 06:00). Find him at the town's central pool. He's not a difficult opponent.

Mimic Chests

After defeating the Mad Knight, go to the tallest tower and fly to Carlow's location (quest marker). He's unconscious near a purple flower. Touching the flower transports you to an area with chests. The first three are genuine; in the next set, only the second chest (middle-left) is real. Open it for rewards, then fight off the mimic chests that attack.

The Knight's Trail and Strange Scent

Follow quest markers to visit locations associated with the Mad Knight legend, speaking to NPCs along the way.

Abby will mention a strange smell. Following the marker leads to a Chop Chop fight. Using a Questless Knight Echo is recommended for parrying and stunning the Chop Chop. Mr. Millkeeper reveals the "Mad Knight" was a fabrication.

Finding Carlow

Return to Egla Town (daytime) and find Carlow in a plaza. He's challenged by knights. The quest concludes after Carlow accepts a duel, rejecting the fantasy and embracing the true meaning of protection. You'll receive Union XP, Astrites, and resources.
