To emerge victorious in Oh Hell!, you need to score more points than your opponents. Points are earned by winning tricks and by accurately predicting the number of tricks you will win in each round. The player with the highest score at the end of a fixed number of rounds is declared the winner. And yes, there can be more than one winner!
Oh Hell! offers standard rules with a variety of options to tailor the game to your preferences:
- Choose between 3 and 7 players
- Enable or disable the 'Screw the Dealer' rule
- Turn the ‘Nil Bid Worth 5’ rule on or off
- Set the Trump suit to Alternate, Next Card, or No Trumps
- Select from four game types: Up, Down, Up and Down, or Down and Up
- Adjust the difficulty to easy, medium, or hard mode
- Replay the round from either the bid or the play
- Review previous hands in the round

Quickfire Rules:
Oh Hell! adheres to the rules of standard trick-taking card games. A card can be beaten by a higher card of the same suit or by any trump card. Once a card is played, other players must follow suit. If they cannot, they have the option to Trump, playing any trump card to win the trick, or to Throw Away, playing any non-trump card to lose the trick.
Each trick scores one point. Correctly predicting the number of tricks you will win during the bidding stage earns you 10 points per round. If you bid 0 and the ‘Nil Bid Worth 5’ setting is enabled, you score 5 points instead.
