For Android 10 or later, connect a DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controller; Android 12 or later works with the DualSense™ wireless controller; and Android 14 or later adds support for the DualSense Edge™ wireless controller—for a true console-style experience.
3. Voice Chat Integration:

4. Text Input Capability:

5. Compatibility Requirements:
- Your setup must meet these essentials: Android 9 or later on your mobile device, the latest system software on your PS5™ or PS4™ console, and an active PlayStation Network account. A strong, stable internet connection is also required for smooth streaming.
6. Data Usage Considerations:
- When playing with mobile data, be aware that higher data usage compared to standard video streaming may result in extra charges. Connection quality depends on your carrier and network performance.
7. Verified Devices:
- PS Remote Play is tuned for top-performing devices like the Google Pixel 8, 7, and 6 series, giving you reliable performance and full compatibility. Some features may not work correctly on other, unverified devices.
8. Controller Compatibility:
- You have multiple choices for controls: the DUALSHOCK®4 wireless controller works on Android 10 and up; the DualSense™ wireless controller is compatible with Android 12 and up; and the DualSense Edge™ wireless controller is supported on Android 14 and up.
9. Performance Considerations:
- Depending on your device’s specs, you may notice input lag when using wireless controllers, which can affect responsiveness in gameplay.
Usage Guidelines and Notes
PS Remote Play is built to enrich your PlayStation® sessions, but keep a few things in mind:
- Device Compatibility: For the best results, use a verified mobile device. Unverified models may not support all games or features.
- Game Compatibility: Some game titles may not fully work with remote play or could need special settings.
- Controller Experience: Vibration feedback and certain other controller functions might work differently than when playing directly on your PS5™ or PS4™ console.
- Input Lag: Depending on your device and internet connection, you might experience slight delays when using wireless controllers.
Conclusion:
PS Remote Play marks a major step forward in making gaming more accessible, giving PlayStation® fans the freedom to play their favorite titles on the go using Android devices. By seamlessly linking PS5™ or PS4™ systems with mobile platforms, this app lets users stream gameplay, control consoles, join voice chats, and interact easily using a variety of controllers.
