Week 2's challenge requires raising your Sim's Handiness skill to level 2 or higher, then repairing a broken object. The difficulty lies in identifying a broken item. The simplest solution is to intentionally break something.
While "pranking" an object works, it requires specific Sim traits. A more straightforward method is to repeatedly use an item until it breaks. The Ambassador toilet is an inexpensive choice; using it approximately a dozen times will cause it to malfunction. This can be done by your Sim or invited guests.
Repairing the broken object is simple once your Handiness skill reaches level 2. Simply select the "Repair" option on the broken item. After a short time, the repair is complete, fulfilling the Blast from the Past challenge.
