Jason Sudeikis Confirms Ted Lasso Season 4

Author : Christian May 06,2025

Jason Sudeikis, star and producer of the beloved Apple TV+ series "Ted Lasso," has officially announced that the show is set to return for a fourth season. The news came during a discussion on the New Heights sports podcast hosted by NFL brothers Jason and Travis Kelce. In a snippet from the podcast's latest episode, Sudeikis shared that they are currently writing Season 4, confirming that Ted will be coaching a women's team this time around.

The announcement, which marks the first solid update on the series' continuation in nearly two years, has been eagerly anticipated by fans since the conclusion of Season 3 in the summer of 2023. While details such as whether this will be the final season or the setting remain undisclosed, Sudeikis humorously sidestepped questions about Ted's potential return to the U.S.

According to Deadline, negotiations are underway for Juno Temple to reprise her role as Keeley, while Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift are confirmed to return as Rebecca, Roy, and Leslie, respectively. Filming for the first episode of Season 4 is expected to start in Kansas City in July before moving to the UK.

Apple TV+ is actively working to bring "Ted Lasso" back into the spotlight. Although no release date or plot specifics have been revealed, the show's official X/Twitter account playfully acknowledged its long hiatus with a post suggesting they had finally found the password to the account.

The last update on "Ted Lasso" was in the summer of 2024, when Deadline reported that Season 4 was nearing greenlight status. For more insights into the series, readers can explore why mid-2023 was a challenging time for TV fans and check out the review of the Ted Lasso Season 3 premiere.
