Quickfire Rules:
After 13 cards are dealt to each of the four players, the bidding begins. In turn, players can either pass or make a bid indicating the number of tricks their partnership believes it can win above six, in a chosen suit or No Trumps. Bidding proceeds clockwise like an auction—each subsequent bid must be higher than the last, or a player can pass. The auction ends when three players pass in a row.
The player who makes the final bid becomes the Declarer, and their partnership must fulfill the contract. The player to the Declarer’s left makes the opening lead. Players must follow suit if able; otherwise, they can play any card, including a trump. The highest card of the led suit or the highest trump wins the trick. The winner leads the next trick.
After the opening lead, the Declarer’s partner becomes the Dummy, and their hand is revealed. The Declarer then plays both their own hand and the Dummy’s. If your team wins the bid, you will control both the Declarer and Dummy hands.
The goal for the declaring team is to win at least the number of tricks bid. The opposing team aims to prevent this by winning enough tricks to set the contract.
At the end of each hand, the declaring team earns contract points if they meet or exceed their bid. If they fail, the opponents score undertrick penalty points. A Rubber is completed when one team wins two out of three games. A game is won by accumulating 100 contract points in a single game.
