CPU-Z

4.5
Application Description

CPU-Z is a powerful, free application designed for Android users who want to delve deep into their device's specifications. As a popular tool for PC users, its Android counterpart brings the same level of detailed reporting to your mobile device, offering a comprehensive overview of your hardware.

With CPU-Z, you can access detailed information about your device's System on Chip (SoC), including its name, architecture, and the clock speed of each core. This tool also provides system information such as your device's brand and model, screen resolution, RAM, and storage capacity. For those interested in battery health, CPU-Z reports on battery level, status, temperature, and capacity. Additionally, it lists all the sensors available on your device, giving you a complete picture of your Android's capabilities.

Requirements and Permissions

To use CPU-Z, your device must run Android 2.2 or a later version. The application requires the INTERNET permission to facilitate online validation, which helps store your device's hardware specifications in a database. Additionally, the ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permission is needed for gathering statistics.

Online Validation and Settings

Starting from version 1.04, CPU-Z offers an online validation feature. This process stores your device's hardware details in a database and provides you with a validation URL, which can be accessed through your internet browser. Optionally, you can enter your email address to receive a reminder link. If the app closes unexpectedly due to a bug, the settings screen will appear on the next run, allowing you to adjust or disable certain detection features to ensure smoother operation.

Bug Reporting and Support

In the event of encountering a bug, you can easily report it by navigating to the application menu and selecting "Send Debug Infos," which sends a detailed report via email. For further assistance, you can visit the FAQ section at http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z-android.html#faq.
