Les Elder Scrolls 6 rendront hommage à un fan après son don de 85 000 $ pour le vœu Make-A-Wish

Bethesda’s highly anticipated The Elder Scrolls 6 will feature a character created to honor a beloved fan, following an extraordinary charity drive that raised over $85,000 for Make-A-Wish.

Spearheaded by the team behind the leading lore wiki, The Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages (UESP), the campaign will immortalize former member Loranna Pyrel in the upcoming game. Pyrel was known for creating a forum-based roleplaying series inspired by Bethesda's titles, which in turn influenced the in-game writing of Ted Peterson, a writer for the series.

Fans had previously tried to secure Pyrel's inclusion through a silent auction Bethesda organized for Make-A-Wish, but their collective bid was narrowly surpassed by an anonymous entry at the last moment.

Following that outcome, Bethesda agreed to make an exception, offering the UESP community a second chance—provided they matched the auction's winning bid of $85,450. Thanks to numerous contributions from The Elder Scrolls content creators, the UESP, and fellow fan resource The Imperial Library, they have now successfully reached that goal.

"It's almost unbelievable that we've come this far," the UESP stated in an Instagram post. "What began as an offhand idea about collaborating grew into this massive community effort. We are thrilled to be adding this character to TES6."

"We couldn't imagine a more fitting tribute to Loranna's impact on both the Elder Scrolls community and its lore than this charitable community fundraiser, which also contributes directly to the game's world."

In a subsequent post on X, the UESP shared that they had just concluded a meeting with Bethesda regarding the character for The Elder Scrolls 6, leaving them "extremely excited for what's in store."

As for when The Elder Scrolls 6 will finally be released, details remain scarce. Bethesda first unveiled the game with a teaser trailer at E3 2018—a staggering seven years ago. It was later confirmed that The Elder Scrolls 6 entered "early development" in August 2023, with "early builds" becoming available in March 2024. When the project's six-year announcement anniversary arrived last June, even Bethesda development chief Todd Howard remarked, "oh wow, that has been a while."
