Blizzard's handling of the Overwatch 2 Cyber DJ skin has ignited another controversy. Initially listed in the in-game store for $19.99, the skin was subsequently revealed to be a free reward for watching a Twitch stream for an hour on February 12th. This announcement, made a day after the sale began, angered many players who had already purchased the skin.

This isn't the first time Blizzard has faced backlash for selling cosmetic items only to offer them later for free. Players are demanding refunds, citing unfair practices. While the Cyber DJ skin has been removed from the store, Blizzard remains silent on refund requests.
Facing stiff competition, particularly from the successful Marvel Rivals, Blizzard is aiming to revitalize Overwatch 2. A special Overwatch 2 Spotlight event, scheduled for February 12th, promises to unveil significant gameplay changes, new maps, heroes, and other content. Blizzard will also host prominent streamers at their headquarters to provide early access and previews of upcoming updates.
