Get ready for a Sonic boom! Sega is celebrating the upcoming release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 with exciting updates across its mobile Sonic game lineup. From Apple Arcade's Sonic Dream Team to Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces (available on the App Store and Google Play), players can expect fresh content inspired by the new movie.
First up, Sonic Forces receives a major update on December 12th, introducing a brand-new Metro-city Zone. This thrilling addition features three challenging tracks playable as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other familiar characters. Complete the levels before seeing the movie for the ultimate experience!
Next, on December 18th, Sonic Dream Team gets a boost with the addition of Shadow as a playable character, bringing new abilities like Chaos Control and Chaos Shift to manipulate time and freeze opponents. Unlock him through Tails’ Challenges. The update also includes new powers (Quick Grind, Perfect Boost) for all characters, exclusive Shadow upgrades (like Double Chaos Shift), six new Shadow-themed statues, fresh music tracks, and a revamped tutorial.
Lastly, Sonic Dash's update arrives on December 20th, offering the chance to unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic by collecting cards. Daily challenges provide extra rewards. Sonic Dash+, on Apple Arcade, will follow in January with even more Shadow-themed content.
