Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is now available for iOS and Android devices! This standalone version offers a definitive, offline experience of the original Pocket Camp game. While online interactions are more limited, you can still connect with other players in the new Whisper Pass area, exchanging stories and trading Camper Cards.
Importantly, your progress from the original Pocket Camp can be transferred, so you won't lose your hard work. Plus, Pocket Camp Complete includes new ways to earn Leaf Tokens and other features previously exclusive to the Pocket Camp Club Monthly Subscription.
A fitting conclusion (with some food for thought)
The shutdown of the original Pocket Camp was disappointing for many, but Complete offers a satisfying alternative. Having an offline version with all (and even extra!) features is a rare and welcome outcome.
However, this release also raises questions about the long-term viability of online-only games and the dependence on developers' continued support. Something to consider.
