Apex Legends: Matchmaking, Anti-Cheat Fixes Unveiled in Dev Update

Respawn Entertainment unveils upcoming Apex Legends updates focusing on fair play and matchmaking improvements. The studio recently released a video detailing significant changes to both systems.

Matchmaking enhancements include visible skill ratings in unranked modes and optimized queue times. Respawn is also addressing concerns regarding score calculations and restrictions on pre-made squads in ranked play.

On the anti-cheat front, the developers are actively combating team collusion, already seeing a reduction thanks to implemented algorithms. A new penalty notification system for reported players is in development, alongside ongoing efforts to eliminate bots using a sophisticated machine learning model designed to detect and prevent bot creation.

Respawn emphasizes continued community engagement, aiming to maintain Apex Legends as a fun and competitive experience while upholding game integrity.
