Fortnite's cosmetic items are hugely popular, with players eager to sport the latest skins. Epic Games' system of rotating skins in and out of the in-game store, however, often leads to frustrating waits. While some skins, like Master Chief (after a two-year absence) and even the older Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper, eventually reappear, the future of others remains uncertain.
This uncertainty particularly affects fans of Arcane, who have intensely requested the return of Jinx and Vi skins since the second season's release. Unfortunately, Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill recently cast doubt on their return during a livestream. While acknowledging the decision rests with Riot, he indicated the collaboration was limited to the first season. Although he later suggested he'd discuss the matter internally, no guarantees were given.
The likelihood of these skins returning seems low. While the potential revenue would benefit Riot, the risk of players migrating from League of Legends to Fortnite due to the skins is likely a significant concern, especially given League of Legends' current challenges.
While future circumstances might change, it's advisable to manage expectations regarding a potential comeback for the Jinx and Vi skins.
