Where to Find Signal Redirector in Atomfall

The Signal Redirector is a unique tool in *Atomfall* and can't be found through conventional means like trading or scavenging from corpses, unlike the Metal Detector. It's located in a specific spot connected to one of the game's main characters, Dr. Diane Garrow, a former B.A.R.D scientist.
To start your quest, gather information from Wyndham Village about Dr. Garrow's whereabouts. You'll need to embark on a rescue mission to save her from the Protocol prison camp in Skethermoor. Reaching this location is tough, as it's teeming with Protocol soldiers. A smart approach is to meet Captain Grant Sims in Wyndham Village and gain his favor by helping with tasks like recovering stolen goods. This can ease your infiltration into the camp.

Once ready, head to the Protocol prison camp on Skethermoor's southern border. The underground prison entrance is at the end of the southernmost road, behind a large green door. Inside, navigate through multiple levels, avoiding or eliminating guards and robots. Remember, you can disable B.A.R.D robots to collect **Atomic Batteries** needed for The Interchange.
Reach the bottom level, past the dig site, where Dr. Garrow is imprisoned in a standalone cell in the main room. To free her, you'll need the Signal Redirector, which is in the nearby Storage room on a shelf. Upon retrieving it, you'll earn the **'Reverse the Polarity' trophy/achievement**.

The Signal Redirector, crafted by Dr. Garrow, is a hacking tool that reroutes power within yellow junction boxes to different sources. It's essential for disabling security systems and unlocking storage rooms. When in your inventory, it pings an icon at the screen's bottom when a hackable junction box is nearby. Follow the device's needle to locate it, and when close enough, the box will be highlighted. Select the 'Hack' option to reroute the power, and you can reverse it by hacking again if needed.
