The announcement will be streamed live across both YouTube and Twitch. Although the specifics of the announcement were not disclosed, the prominent "IV" displayed in the center of the accompanying image, coupled with a background reminiscent of iconic Oblivion artwork, strongly hints at what fans can expect.
Speculation about an Oblivion remake has been rampant for years, fueled by various leaks. The initial whisper of a remaster surfaced from a leaked 2020 Bethesda release schedule during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which suggested a release in fiscal year 2022. Despite the outdated nature of the document and the missed release window, the possibility of the project being shelved was questioned. The speculation intensified earlier this year with another leak in January, which described the project as a comprehensive remake developed by Bethesda with assistance from Virtuos. The rumors reached a crescendo just last week when further leaks, this time from Virtuos' website, included images purportedly showcasing the remake in progress.
If these latest leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is expected to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. Additionally, a Deluxe Edition, featuring the iconic horse armor, will be available alongside the standard version.
Fans are eagerly awaiting tomorrow's announcement, hoping for official confirmation and further details on what promises to be a landmark release in the beloved Elder Scrolls series. Be sure to tune in to find out more.
