Lunar New Year event: January 29 – February 2
From now until February 2 at 08:00 PM local time, immerse yourself in the Lunar New Year 2025 event, celebrating the Chinese New Year in *Pokémon GO*. As it's the Year of the Snake, you'll see an increase in snake-themed Pokémon spawns, including:
- Ekans (Shiny can be found)
- Onix (Shiny can be found)
- Snivy (Shiny can be found)
- Darumaka (Shiny can be found)
- Dunsparce (Shiny can be found)
- Gyarados (Shiny can be found)
- Dratini (Shiny can be found)
This event also brings exciting bonuses such as an increased chance of obtaining Lucky Pokémon in trades and becoming Lucky Friends with other Trainers. Participate in the Lunar New Year to unlock daily Field Research tasks and earn free PokéCoins. Additionally, the 2KM Egg pool will hatch the following Pokémon during the event:

Legendary Flight Dynamax Moltres Event: February 3 – 9
The Legendary Flight event in *Pokémon GO* will culminate with the debut of Dynamax Moltres. From 06:00 PM until 07:00 PM on February 3, challenge Dynamax Moltres at all Power Spots as a Max Monday boss. After this hour, Moltres will still be available until February 9, although at fewer Power Spots as Squirtle, Krabby, and Sobble will join as Max Battle bosses until February 10. It might take some effort to locate Moltres depending on your local area, but you'll have ample time to find this legendary firebird.
Karrablast & Shelmet Community Day: February 9
On Sunday, February 9, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, experience a unique dual Community Day for Karrablast & Shelmet. During these three hours, you can farm their Candies through increased encounters, benefit from evolution bonuses, and increase your chances of finding a Shiny. Evolve Karrablast or Shelmet by February 16, 2025, at 10:00 PM to get an Escavalier that knows Razor Shell or an Accelgor with Energy Ball, respectively. Take advantage of event bonuses, and consider purchasing the premium Timed Research for US$2.00 (or the equivalent in your local currency) to ease the grind.
Beloved Buddies: February 11 – 15
Starting Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM until Saturday, February 15 at 08:00 PM local time, the mysterious Beloved Buddies event will take place. While details are currently undisclosed, we'll update this guide as soon as more information is available.
Raid Day: February 15
On Saturday, February 15, from 02:00 PM until 05:00 PM local time, *Pokémon GO* will host a Raid Day with an unannounced boss. We'll update the information once the February Raid schedule is released.

The Road to Unova event, a prelude to the *Pokémon GO* Tour Unova: Global event in March, kicks off on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM and runs through Saturday, March 1.
