From April 25th to May 5th, CrazyGames is thrilled to launch its Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025, a 10-day global game development marathon, in collaboration with Photon, the world's leading multiplayer service provider. This event is an open invitation to indie developers worldwide to showcase their skills in creating innovative web-based multiplayer games.
Participants will vie for a share of €10,000 in cash prizes and premium Photon licenses, which include:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (€7,500 value)
- 500 CCU for a year (€1,500 value)
- 100 CCU for a year (€100 value)
The only strict guidelines for the event are that games must be developed and submitted during the jam period and adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these rules, developers are encouraged to let their imaginations soar and create unique gaming experiences.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has become the go-to platform for free online gaming, leveraging HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGI technologies to provide seamless browser-based gaming experiences for thousands of titles. In partnership with Photon, CrazyGames will offer support throughout the event and provide winning games with the opportunity to be published on their platform.
To kick things off, a pre-jam livestream will be held on YouTube and LinkedIn on April 24th at 4 pm CEST. This session will provide insights into two new WebGL platforms: Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performance multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a prime opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all experience levels. For more information and to register, visit the official jam page.
