DOOM: The Dark Ages Gets Brief Gameplay Tease From NVIDIA

Nvidia showcases new Doom: The Dark Ages gameplay. A brief 12-second clip highlights the game's diverse environments and the iconic Doom Slayer, wielding a new shield. Scheduled for release in 2025 on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, Doom: The Dark Ages will utilize the latest idTech engine and DLSS 4 for enhanced visuals.

This latest glimpse, part of Nvidia's hardware and software presentation, offers a sneak peek at the game's varied locations, ranging from opulent corridors to barren landscapes. While combat isn't featured, the footage promises a visually stunning experience, leveraging ray reconstruction technology on the upcoming RTX 50 series. The game builds upon the successful reboot series, continuing the tradition of intense combat and brutal environments established in the 2016 Doom title.

Nvidia's showcase also featured other anticipated titles including CD Projekt Red's next Witcher installment and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. The latter's impressive visuals were highlighted, setting a high bar for future game development. The new GeForce RTX 50 series is expected to further advance visual fidelity and performance in gaming.

While a precise release date remains unannounced, Doom: The Dark Ages is slated for launch across Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC sometime in 2025. Further details on the game's narrative, enemies, and combat mechanics are anticipated in the coming months.
