- Monster Hunter Now's upcoming Driftsmelting Bonanza event is almost here
- From June 30th to July 6th, the required driftsmelting distance is significantly reduced
- Defeating featured monsters also rewards the new Mysterious Driftstone H!
While recent announcements from Niantic have heavily featured Pokémon Go, including its upcoming stamp rally and Go Fest 2025, Monster Hunter Now enthusiasts will be pleased to receive some attention. The timing is perfect, as a brand-new Driftsmelting Bonanza event is about to begin!
Running from June 30th through July 6th, the Driftsmelting Bonanza will increase the spawn rates of Teostra, Bazelgeuse, Mizutsune, Nightshade Paolumu, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku, and Great Girros. Defeating these monsters will automatically reward you with a Mysterious Driftstone H, though you won't receive any regular Driftstones from them during this period.
As anticipated, the Mysterious Driftstone H drops are a major highlight of this event. You can obtain them from any large monster, and they have the potential to grant your armor the Ailment Opportunist skill—a new addition that capitalizes on monster status debuffs—along with Status Sneak Attack and Blast Attack.

Monster Drift
The core attraction of any Driftsmelting Bonanza remains the drastically reduced walking distance for driftsmelting, which drops from 5km to just 1km. Additionally, featured monsters offer enhanced rewards, and Teostra will be the exclusive focus of Elder Dragon Interceptions for the event's duration.
If facing Teostra seems too challenging, don't worry—you don't need to defeat it to earn its Mysterious Driftstone H. Successfully repelling the creature will also grant you the reward.
