Sony and game developer Santa Monica Studio have unveiled the Dark Odyssey collection, a thrilling update for God of War Ragnarök set to launch next week. This update introduces a variety of in-game equipment inspired by one of the franchise's most iconic outfits, available to all players on PlayStation 5 and PC.
In a recent PlayStation.Blog post, Sony outlined the exciting additions coming with the God of War 20th anniversary celebration. The highlight is undoubtedly the Dark Odyssey collection, a free update scheduled for March 20. This update brings a sleek black-and-gold aesthetic to the game, enhancing the visual appeal of Kratos, Atreus, and Freya as they navigate the rich tapestry of Norse mythology.
The Dark Odyssey update includes a stunning armor set and appearance for Kratos, reminiscent of a legendary skin from God of War 2 that was exclusive to players who conquered the game on God Mode difficulty. This much-coveted set can be claimed from any Lost Items chest in the base game or directly in the roguelike Valhalla mode upon the update's release. Additionally, players will now have the option to customize the appearance of Kratos' weapons without impacting their abilities, adding a new layer of personalization to the gameplay experience.
