Indus picks up five million downloads and concludes first international playtest in Manila

Author : Emery Jan 31,2025

Indus, the Indian-made battle royale shooter, has surpassed five million Android downloads and 100,000 iOS downloads within two months of its release. This follows a successful international playtest in Manila and a Google Play Best Made in India Game 2024 award win.

This significant achievement positions Indus as a leading contender in the Indian gaming market, aiming to outpace competitors like FAU-G: Domination. The Manila playtest at the YGG Play Summit provided valuable feedback from international esports players.

Further solidifying its esports ambitions, SuperGaming launched the Clutch India Movement, featuring the Indus International Tournament. Running from October 2024 to February 2025, this tournament boasts a ₹2.5 crore (approximately $31,000) prize pool.

Impressive Growth, Continued Expansion

While the five million downloads fall slightly short of the initial ten million pre-registrations (a common discrepancy), the figures remain highly impressive. The lower iOS download count suggests a need to further penetrate that market segment.

SuperGaming's proactive approach, including international playtests and an esports tournament, demonstrates its ambitious vision for Indus's future growth.
