Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: A Closer Look at Village Life and Recent Controversy
Warhorse Studios continues to unveil aspects of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, focusing this time on the diverse village activities available to players. Protagonist Henry will engage in a range of activities, including drinking, shepherding, archery (both crossbow and longbow), prayer, hunting, and assisting villagers with their problems, such as procuring antidotes for the injured.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is slated for release on February 4, 2025.
However, the game has recently faced scrutiny from activists who, after discovering subpoenas within the game's code, launched a campaign to cancel its release. Figures like Grummz and other activists have amplified concerns, bringing the game under intense public pressure.
These concerns escalated after reports of a Saudi Arabian ban on the game surfaced online. Rumors regarding the inclusion of "progressive" content fueled social media attacks against the developers, with calls to cancel the game and discourage further funding.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded by urging the public to trust the developers and to disregard unsubstantiated online claims.
