Marvel's small-screen adaptations have a rich history, from the classic "Incredible Hulk" to the Netflix series featuring Daredevil and Luke Cage. While previous attempts to integrate these shows into the MCU sometimes faltered, Marvel Studios launched a new era in 2021 with interconnected Disney+ series. With "Spider-Man: Freshman Year" recently added to the Disney+ lineup, IGN's Marvel experts have ranked the preceding 12 Disney+ Marvel shows.

Secret Invasion
Disney+Widely considered the weakest Marvel Studios TV series to date, "Secret Invasion" fell short of expectations. Despite the source material's significance in Marvel Comics, the series lacked a compelling narrative. The director's unfamiliarity with the comics resulted in a disjointed story, hampered by slow pacing, a poorly executed opening, and questionable character choices. Its attempt to emulate "Captain America: The Winter Soldier"'s espionage tone proved unsuccessful.
-
Echo
Disney+A significant improvement over "Secret Invasion," "Echo" still ranks lower due to its shortened episode count and resulting narrative gaps. Alaqua Cox's portrayal of Echo is compelling, and the series features impressive action sequences, notably a fight with Daredevil. Its predominantly indigenous cast and crew is a noteworthy achievement. While not as impactful as other entries, it remains a unique and emotionally resonant addition to the MCU.
-
Moon Knight
Disney+Starring Oscar Isaac, "Moon Knight" features a compelling premise and strong performances from Isaac, F. Murray Abraham, and Ethan Hawke. Its surrealist blend of genres is intriguing, and the introduction of Scarlet Scarab is a highlight. However, it failed to resonate strongly enough with viewers to achieve a higher ranking, and a second season remains unconfirmed.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Disney+Despite the strong chemistry between Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier" suffered from narrative inconsistencies and a focus on espionage that overshadowed the action. Production delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic may have contributed to its shortcomings. Nevertheless, the series' narrative elements have become integral to the current MCU storyline.
