Marvel's Iconic Duo Lands February Release

Author : Jack Feb 20,2025

The Fantastic Four's roster in Marvel Rivals expands on February 21, 2025, with the arrival of The Thing and Human Torch as playable characters. This coincides with a Season 1.5 update, promising significant balance adjustments, as detailed in a recent developer blog post.

Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman debuted last month, significantly impacting gameplay. Reed Richards' elastic powers and Sue Storm's invisibility mechanics reshaped the multiplayer meta. The Thing and Human Torch are expected to have a similarly impactful introduction, though specific abilities remain undisclosed.

The update also includes a rank reset for Ranked players. A four-division demotion will occur on February 21st. Future season resets will be six divisions, while mid-season updates will maintain a four-division drop. NetEase plans to adjust this system based on player feedback.

Positive changes include new cosmetic rewards for Gold-ranked players and the introduction of Crests of Honor for top performers (Grandmaster, Celestial, Eternity, and One Above All tiers).

Creative director Guangyun Chen previously committed to releasing a new character every six weeks. Speculation points towards Blade as the next addition, fueled by online discussions and leaks. However, the game's future roster remains largely unconfirmed.

Consult our updated Marvel Rivals Season 1 tier list to strategize while awaiting the mid-season update. This list will help you navigate the current meta, impacted by the initial Season 1 patch and community concerns regarding potential bot issues.
