This quest can be quite challenging, but with the right guidance, you'll be able to complete it successfully.
How to Start Master Schindel’s Toys Quest
To initiate the Master Schindel’s Toys quest, you must first engage in the Into the Underworld main mission. Your objective here is to locate an informant known as Goatskin. As part of your investigation, visit the bathhouse and speak with the Bathhouse Madam, followed by a conversation with Adam. Adam will inform you that Goatskin is the one who stole Master Schindel's items.
Next, you need to find Goatskin. He's a timid individual, so you'll need to coax him out. You can either talk to Lousy Mary or follow Udo. I recommend speaking with Udo, who can be found on the first floor of the bathhouse in the evening. Instruct him to go home and discreetly follow him. Goatskin will attempt to rob Udo in an alley, providing you the perfect opportunity to confront him.
Obtaining the Kuttenberg Underground Map
During your interaction with Goatskin, you can also try to acquire a map from him. If you fail the skill check, you'll need to bribe him. He'll then direct you to the Kuttenberg gallows on the southeastern side of the city, where you can find the Map of Kuttenberg Underground on a hanging corpse. Retrieve the map to help navigate the underground area, which is notoriously difficult to traverse.
Finding the Stolen Items
To quickly retrieve the stolen items and complete the Master Schindel’s Toys quest, head to the northern side of the open area and find the ladder leading underground. Equip your torch as you descend into the dark Kuttenberg Underground zone. Navigate by consistently making left turns until you reach a barrel at a dead end. You may need to jump down to a lower area at some point. Continue turning left at junctions until you discover Goatskin’s hidden stash. Inside the barrel, you'll find a book and an astrolabe.
After securing the stolen items, retrace your steps to exit the underground. Master Schindel can usually be found on the northeastern side of the city during the day. Approach him to complete the quest. Initially, he might be a bit irritable, but returning his items will soften his demeanor. Engage further with him to learn about the astrolabe and planetary mechanics.
Completing the Master Schindel’s Toys quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* not only helps you earn reputation points but also provides additional rewards. This side quest, though short, adds depth to your gameplay experience.
