Pikmin Bloom is all set to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month, and Niantic is bringing back a wave of nostalgia with some classic gadgets. The festivities are scheduled to start on May 1st, 2025, promising an exciting event for all fans.
The Update Is a Cool Throwback to the Good Old Nintendo Days!
Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has delighted players with various fun decor items, such as Pikmin adorned with Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. To mark its 3.5th anniversary, Pikmin Bloom is bringing back the iconic Nintendo game consoles from the 80s and 90s.
Additionally, a new Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin will be introduced. This is a tribute to Nintendo's origins when they were crafting playing cards before venturing into video games. The designs of these cards are inspired by Nintendo’s vintage playing card decks.
The event will run from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, giving players a full month to engage in missions and collect these nostalgic Pikmin. Completing Event Challenge missions will reward you with random items such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that can grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.
During the event, Brilliant Mushrooms will also appear. Destroying these mushrooms will yield Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other goodies. The Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are particularly effective at taking down these mushrooms.
Pikmin Bloom 3.5th Anniversary Also Brings Big Flowers in May
In May, the blooming flowers can transform into carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses when you plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.
There's also an update to the nectar system, so that fruit obtained from mushrooms during May will provide nectar for regular flowers, as well as special ones like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
Alongside these updates, there will be other exciting events, including Community Day. Make sure to download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready for the 3.5th anniversary celebration.
