May 2025 is shaping up to be an exciting month for Pokémon GO players, with a packed schedule of events and raids. The highlight of the month is undoubtedly the return of the Lake Trio in 5-Star Raids, available in various regions around the globe.
What Does Pokémon GO Have in Store for May 2025?
Kicking off the month, Tapu Fini will be featured in Five-Star raids from May 1st to May 12th. This raid brings the special move Nature's Madness and an opportunity to catch a Shiny Tapu Fini.
Following that, the Lake Trio will grace the game starting May 12th. Depending on your location, you'll encounter Uxie in the Asia-Pacific region, Mesprit in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, and Azelf in the Americas and Greenland.
Once the Lake Trio concludes its run, Tapu Bulu will take over the Five-Star raids from May 25th to June 3rd, 2025, also featuring Nature's Madness and a chance at a Shiny form.
For those interested in Mega Raids, May 2025 offers a robust lineup. From May 1st to 12th, Mega Houndoom will be available, followed by Mega Gyarados from May 12th to 25th, and Mega Altaria from May 25th to June 3rd.

The month starts with the "Growing Up" event from May 2 to 7, complemented by a Mega Kangaskhan Raid Day on May 3rd. From May 10th to 18th, the "Crown Clash" event will run, with the Dynamax Suicune Max Battle Weekend happening on May 10th and 11th.
Community Day is scheduled for May 11th, though the featured Pokémon remains a mystery for now. "Crown Clash: Taken Over" will take place from May 14th to 18th, with a Shadow Raid Day on May 17th.
