Many dungeons in Metaphor: ReFantazio feature formidable mini-bosses preceding the final encounter. Even diligent grinding won't always prevent these red-marked (Fairy Sight) enemies from demanding Squad combat.
The Faithwight Magileto in the Spire of Blind Faith is a prime example of such a challenging foe. Victory requires strategic prowess and a touch of luck.

Weakness | Repel | Resists | Blocks |

Strike | Light | Pierce | Electric |
This level 50 enemy can summon additional level 50 enemies, making engagement below level 45 ill-advised.
Faithwight Magiletos wield potent dark and light magic, capable of targeting single characters or the entire party. Their arsenal includes Megidolaon, a devastating area-of-effect attack. Passive buffs amplify the damage of these elements. Furthermore, they can use Soul Scream for multiple Press Turn icons per turn and summon level 50 skeletons.
These summoned skeletons possess strong slashing attacks, dark magic, powerful buffs, and access to a potent healing spell, often restoring the Magileto to full health. Their weakness is Strike damage. Prioritizing this attack type is crucial for victory.

Even at level 50, this battle presents a significant challenge; lower levels make it nearly insurmountable. Preparation is key:
- Acquire Dark Dodge from the Magic Knight.
- Acquire Light Dodge from the Healer Archetype.
- Skill Inherit Strike skills from the Brawler Archetype.
- Utilize the Warlock Archetype's resistance to dark and light damage.
- Leverage the Thief Archetype's dark damage resistance.
- Carry Tetrabreak to counter Tetrakarn used by summoned enemies.
Archetype selection is secondary to maximizing the above points, avoiding weaknesses to dark, light, or slash damage. With many Archetypes unlocked, prioritize strength-focused ones using Skill Inheritance. Ensure at least two party members possess party-wide healing spells, and equip everyone with Strike attacks to maximize Press Turn Icons and counteract damage.
Some luck is inevitable; consecutive Megidolaons are nearly unsurvivable. Equipping Dark and Light Dodge on most party members helps mitigate this. Eliminate summoned allies swiftly before they heal the Magileto. Dekaja can dispel enemy buffs. Aim for at least six Strike attacks and two party-wide healing spells per turn.
