The wait is finally over for fans of Reverse: 1999, as version 2.5 part one, dubbed "Showdown in Chinatown," is now live. This Hong Kong cinema-inspired update brings a wave of exciting new content to the game, including the introduction of a new limited character, Liang Yue, and a five-star character, Loggerhead. Along with these new additions, players can dive into a variety of new events, a new garment series, and more.
In the latest update, the notorious arcanist criminal Nightpiercer resurfaces in Los Angeles, prompting Officer Liang Yue from the Vigiles Bureau to join forces with the Division of Arcane Affairs in a bid to take Nightpiercer down for good. Liang Yue becomes available through the limited-time “Moonbeam Guardian” Dushuo Limited Banner, and players can also snag a free garment for the popular character, Windsong. To help you bolster your roster, the update offers a total of 40 free pulls through various rewards and events.
For those looking for a challenge, two new events await: "When the Alarm Sounds" and the board game-themed "Critter Crash," both available until the 29th. Completing these events can earn you special rewards, including Limited Portraits and new garments.
The traditional Chinese-style dress that Liang Yue wears is inspiring a new garment series called "Old Stories New Perspectives," which is available for characters such as Jiu Niangzi, Tuesday, Sotheby, The Fool, and Windsong.
Keep an eye out for the new limited building where you can collect Red Envelopes through tasks and minigames. These can be exchanged for a variety of rewards, ranging from 5-star insight coupons and portraits to growth materials.
