Maintaining your footwear is crucial in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Here's how to acquire and repair shoes:
Acquiring Shoes:
Your initial shoes won't last forever. Fortunately, replenishing your footwear is straightforward. You can discover new shoes within chests, loot them from defeated enemies (such as poachers), or purchase them from vendors.
While tailors may offer shoes, cobblers provide a wider selection with superior stats. Locate a cobbler – their map icon resembles three red circles – for a better choice of footwear. One can be found early in the game in Trosky. Note that some cobblers, like Matthew, also sell horse equipment and crafting kits.
Repairing Shoes:
Repairing your worn-out shoes offers two approaches:
-
Professional Repair: Cobblers and blacksmiths provide repair services. Select the repair option when interacting with them, choose your items, and pay the fee. Note that your Craftsmanship skill level influences the repair cost, offering discounts with higher skill levels.
-
Self-Repair: If you possess sufficient Craftsmanship skill, you can repair shoes yourself using a Cobbler's Kit. These kits can be purchased from various vendors (including cobblers and blacksmiths) or found through looting and chests. Access your inventory, select the kit, and use the interact button ("E" on PC) to initiate the repair process. Damaged items will be shown; faded items indicate your skill level is insufficient for repair.
Remember, Blacksmith's Kits function similarly for repairing other equipment. However, utilizing vendors remains a viable option, ensuring your gear remains in optimal condition.
