A playable version of Silksong will be showcased at Australia's National Museum of Screen Culture (ACMI). The ACMI is set to host a video games exhibition named Game Worlds, running from September 18, 2025, to February 8, 2026. This exhibit will not only feature Silksong but also other iconic titles like World of Warcraft and The Sims. Attendees will have the chance to explore exclusive custom builds, original design materials, concept art, and iconic objects from these games.
In an interview with IGN, ACMI co-curators Bethan Johnson and Jini Maxwell expressed their excitement about including Silksong in the exhibit. They stated, "Since Hollow Knight: Silksong's initial announcement in 2019, it has been one of the most anticipated indie games on the planet – and we are thrilled to celebrate the design of this South Australian-made game as a centrepiece of Game Worlds in September."

The co-curators shared that the exhibit will offer a deep dive into the world of Hollow Knight's sequel. They elaborated, "From the hundreds of sprites that animate Hornet’s different movements and attacks, to the logic behind the game’s most challenging boss fights – and of course, having the game playable in-gallery – our Silksong displays delve deeply into the details of the game's artistic direction and design."
While the Australian event hints at a possible launch window for Silksong, no official release date has been confirmed yet. However, Silksong was recently featured during the Switch 2 Direct, confirming a release window of 2025. With the exhibit running until 2026, fans are hopeful that Silksong might launch in September or sometime within the exhibit's duration.
