Their mission is to hunt down vampires, whom they refer to as "Hollow Ones," under the guise of conducting "training exercises" and "counter-terrorism efforts."
Leading the IAB's operations in Seattle is Agent Baker, a disciplined pragmatist committed to the permanent eradication of vampires. Her methodical approach involves delving into strange occurrences and analyzing historical data to uncover the connections to the secretive vampire society. Her commanding presence and unwavering resolve have earned her the nickname "The Hen" among her devoted followers.
The hunters of the IAB are known for their well-coordinated efforts, securing their base with both external and internal defenses. Confronting them solo is a daunting task, as they work in teams, employ spotlights for surveillance, and maintain constant communication through portable radios. In combat, they wield thermic batons that can bypass defensive maneuvers, and deploy phosphorous grenades to flush enemies out of hiding. Their sniper crossbows shoot explosive bolts that can cause catastrophic damage if not quickly extracted.
Despite their formidable tactics, these hunters have vulnerabilities. They are physically weaker than both ghouls and vampires, making them susceptible to certain countermeasures. Players can exploit this by using abilities like Fire to intercept grenades or bolts mid-flight and hurl them back at their attackers. Additionally, members of the Ventru clan can harness their powers to possess an enemy and turn them against their own team.
