World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways!
World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, and this time it's even bigger. Running for seven consecutive weeks until February 24th, this event offers a non-stop Timewalking campaign marathon. Prepare to earn fantastic rewards, including a plethora of Timewarped Badges, a significant experience boost, and a chance to snag a coveted new mount!
This extended event builds upon the successful five-week run from September 2023. Players will once again have the opportunity to earn the stackable Mastery of Timeways buff, providing a 20% experience increase after completing four Timewalking dungeons. However, the stakes are higher this time around.
The Timewalking Adventure Awaits:
The Turbulent Timeways event cycles through various World of Warcraft expansions, one per week, in chronological order. The journey begins with Mists of Pandaria on January 7th and concludes with Cataclysm the week of February 18th. Each week presents the usual Timewalking quests, dungeons, and raids, alongside the valuable Mastery of Timeways buff.
Here's the complete schedule:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Rewards Galore:
Achieving Mastery of Timeways for at least five of these seven weeks unlocks the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement, rewarding players with the charming Timely Buzzbee mount. Each expansion's Timewalking vendor boasts new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Additionally, the Sandy Shalewing pet, previously exclusive to the initial Turbulent Timeways event, makes a return! And for an extra boost, the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest now grants Heroic gear throughout the event's duration.
A Busy Start to 2025:
With the recent conclusion of the WoW 20th Anniversary event (which also featured extensive Timewalking), players will have enjoyed a whopping 18 weeks of consecutive Timewalking activities. The Turbulent Timeways event's end date on February 24th also hints at upcoming WoW plans. Considering the typical eight-week release cycle and the holiday season, February 25th is a strong contender for the launch date of Patch 11.1, "Undermined," ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. Coupled with the second run of Plunderstorm (January 14th - February 17th) and the imminent major content update for The War Within, World of Warcraft is setting the stage for an action-packed start to 2025. Get ready!
