World of Warships: Blitz has launched Update 8.2, introducing swift new vessels to the fleet. The highlight of this update is Turbo Strike, an exciting new battle mode. Alongside this feature, numerous other additions await. Read on for the details.
What is Turbo Strike?
In this mode, players engage in combat where respawns are enabled. Commanders can return to battle after their ship is destroyed. Victory is achieved by reaching 1,000 points or capturing the enemy base. Turbo Strike features a dedicated map and a constant flow of power-ups.
Randomized airdrop boosts appear at regular intervals and can be stacked up to four times. After securing three eliminations, players gain access to a steerable missile that can be guided before impact. Additionally, each ship class receives specific attribute enhancements exclusive to Turbo Strike.
Update 8.2 also introduces Variable Torpedoes, a new mechanic that rewards aggressive play. Within 0 to 6 km, torpedoes deliver maximum damage, with effectiveness gradually decreasing to 60% at 12 km.
World of Warships: Blitz Update 8.2 Welcomes French Destroyers
French destroyers make their debut in this update. The line begins with Tier V's L'Adroit, offering a balance of firepower, torpedoes, and agility.
At higher tiers, Le Hardi (Tier VII) and Orage (Tier IX) continue this trend with stealth capabilities, rapid acceleration, and potent close-range attacks.
These vessels feature Variable Torpedoes from Tier VII onwards. They also come equipped with the Emergency Engine Accelerator, a special boost that enhances acceleration, deceleration, and top speed by 25% for 10 seconds.
The update also introduces the Maine, a new Supership. Download the game now from the Google Play Store.
