Rainbow Six Siege X: Atlanta Reveals

As Rainbow Six Siege celebrates its tenth anniversary, Ubisoft is ushering in a new era with the introduction of Siege X. Announced during today's presentation, Siege X is poised to be the most significant update to the game since its inception, mirroring the transformative impact CS2 had on CS:GO.

Set to launch on June 10, Siege X will transition the game to a free-to-play model, opening its doors to a broader audience of tactical enthusiasts. Here are the key changes players can expect:

New Mode: Dual Front

Introducing Dual Front, a dynamic 6v6 match format that blends the roles of attack and defense operators. The objective? To capture enemy zones and strategically plant sabotage devices. The map is cleverly segmented into multiple areas: three zones for each team, plus a central neutral zone. In this mode, players will respawn 30 seconds after being eliminated, ensuring continuous action and strategic depth.

Advanced Rappel System

Siege X enhances player mobility with an advanced rappel system, allowing for both vertical and horizontal movement on ropes. This addition promises to open up new tactical possibilities and enrich the gameplay experience.

Increased Environmental Destruction

The game's signature environmental destruction is taken to the next level in Siege X. The trailer highlighted new destructible elements such as fire extinguishers and gas pipes, which players can now blow up to alter the battlefield dynamically.

Reworks for Five Popular Maps

Five beloved maps are set to receive major updates, refreshing the environments and potentially altering the meta of the game. These reworks aim to keep the gameplay fresh and engaging for both new and veteran players.

Graphical & Audio Enhancements

Ubisoft is not holding back on the visual and auditory front. Siege X will feature a comprehensive upgrade to graphics and sound, enhancing the immersive experience of the game.

Improved Anti-Cheat & Toxicity Measures

Acknowledging the importance of fair play and a positive community, Ubisoft is refining the anti-cheat system and implementing new measures to combat toxic behavior, ensuring a more enjoyable environment for all players.

To give players a taste of what's to come, Ubisoft has announced a closed beta for Siege X, which will be accessible to those who watch Siege streams over the next seven days. This opportunity allows fans to dive into the new features and provide valuable feedback before the official launch.
