Application Description

SMSBUS is Kazakhstan's cashless electronic ticketing system for public transport. Pay for your fare directly from your phone balance—no commissions! Find a list of supported cities and routes on our official website: https://smsbus.kz

Simply show your electronic ticket on your phone to the driver or transit officer for fare validation. Your ticket remains valid until you reach your final destination and is accessible in the "Valid Tickets" section. View your past tickets in the "Travel details" section.

Payment Issues? Your payment might fail due to:

  • Corporate phone number
  • Outstanding trust payment
  • No balance replenishment since number activation
  • Initial balance not yet used
  • SIM card replacement within the last 24 hours

Virtual Transport Cards: Create a free virtual transport card within the app. Self-registration is available for standard and student cards. For other preferential cards, visit a company office with supporting documents. Top up your card using your card number via the app or through banking apps like Kaspi Bank and Halyk Bank (homebank).

App Permissions:

  1. Camera: QR code scanning.
  2. Location: Accurate map display, automatic bus detection for easier payment (determining bus code via GPS), route planning with transfers. Enter destinations and departures via map or text address.
