VNeID: Vietnam's Electronic Identification and Authentication Application

- Media Access: To store QR code images for verification at checkpoints.

Personal Information Collection: Users are responsible for entering their own data, including medical and travel information, either for themselves or on behalf of others with consent. Collected personal details include:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Citizen identification
- Gender
- Year of birth
- Permanent address
- Nationality
- Health status
- Travel details (departure place, destination, vehicle number plate)
- Exposure to individuals with COVID-19
All information is collected with the user's explicit permission through form submissions.
Privacy and Copyright Protection: VNeID prioritizes user privacy and data security. Data is stored securely by the National Population Data Center and is utilized solely for COVID-19 prevention and control efforts, health protection, and disease prevention. The data will not be used for commercial purposes or to invade personal privacy. It may be shared with health authorities and other relevant agencies to enhance disease prevention measures.
The application developer commits to not using user information for any purposes other than those specified, nor will it disclose information that could harm or lead to illegal activities affecting user privacy, in accordance with Vietnamese law and the application's policy.

- No Location Tracking: VNeID does not collect location data.
