Mesopotamia Adventure Unveiled: Point-and-Click "My Father Lied" Debuts in May

Author : Ellie Feb 02,2025

Unravel the mystery of your father's disappearance in My Father Lied, launching May 30th!

Ahmed Alameen's debut point-and-click adventure game, My Father Lied, blends captivating storytelling with challenging puzzles, drawing inspiration from Mesopotamian history. Step into the shoes of Huda, a young woman whose investigation into her father's twenty-year-old disappearance is reignited by the revelation of a previously unknown sibling.

Alameen, initially collaborating on the narrative design, took the reins as a solo developer, mastering game design to bring his vision to life.

The gameplay utilizes classic point-and-click mechanics, requiring you to explore richly detailed environments, piece together images, crack codes, and more. Alameen cites Myst, Heaven's Vault, and the writings of H.P. Lovecraft as key influences on the game's atmosphere and style.

Employing a blend of 2D and 360-degree imagery, including meticulously crafted frame-by-frame cutscenes, My Father Lied achieves stunning visuals while maintaining compatibility with lower-end PCs.

Priced at $10.99/€, My Father Lied will be available on May 30th for PC (Steam), iOS (App Store), and Android (Google Play). Add it to your Steam wishlist now! Mobile pre-registration is not yet available. Stay updated on the latest news by following Lunar Games on X, Discord, TikTok, and Instagram. And don't miss the upcoming Kickstarter campaign!
