The wait is finally over as Ustwo Games has just announced the release of their critically acclaimed puzzler, Monument Valley 3 on Netflix’s gaming platform. This series has churned out amazing gaming for over a decade and you can now finally enjoy a brand new iteration which explores Noor’s journey to save her village from going dark.
If you're new to the puzzler, don’t worry, Monument Valley 3 is a standalone game and doesn’t require you to have played the previous ones. You play as Noor, a lightkeeper who discovers that her world’s light is fading, causing the water level to rise. She must locate a new source of light for her town fast, or else everything will be lost to the waves.
That’s where the new mechanic comes in – sailing. You will explore the mysterious new world in your boat in hopes of finding the Sacred Light. From mind-bending puzzles to logic-defying environments, there is so much that awaits you. You’ll have to manipulate your surroundings to unlock hidden paths in order to move forward.
Core gameplay remains the same and there’s no real need to add a bunch of new stuff. You’ll still be exploring this minimalistic world full of stunning architecture and mind-boggling geometry. Of course, some fresh touches will be added, for instance, you will now be able to return to your home village whenever you want, to interact with characters you have rescued on your journey.
With Monument Valley 3 now being on Netflix, you will require an active subscription to play. With the multitude of options available, it isn’t such a bad deal.
