What's in Store for Pokémon Go's New Year's 2025 Event?
The Pokémon Go New Year's 2025 event runs from December 30th, 2024, at 10:00 am to January 1st, 2025, at 8:00 pm. While there are no new Pokémon, Shiny variants, or costumes this year, there's still plenty of festive fun.
Expect to find wild Jigglypuff with ribbons, Hoothoot in New Year's attire, and Wurmple sporting party hats—all with Shiny possibilities. Event bonuses include 2,025 XP for Excellent Throws and celebratory fireworks.
Raids feature a snowflake-hatted Pikachu (Tier One), and party-hat-wearing Raticate and Wobbuffet (Tier Three), all with increased Shiny rates. Keep an eye out for themed Pokémon encounters in Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases.
