Exciting news for fans of *Dead by Daylight*—the iconic horror game is set to introduce characters from *Five Nights at Freddy's*, with Springtrap joining the roster. Developer Behaviour Interactive, known for its innovative crossovers, is not stopping there. In a recent chat with IGN, the team revealed their ongoing quest to expand their collection of horror icons, with some developers having their hearts set on specific additions.
Jason Guzzo, a Killer Designer and horror enthusiast at Behaviour Interactive, has been instrumental in bringing iconic Killers like Chucky, Dracula, and now Springtrap into the game. However, Guzzo's ultimate goal remains elusive but highly desired: integrating *The Thing* into *Dead by Daylight*. "I have been here for two and a half years, and I have been on a crusade to figure out how to get The Thing into Dead by Daylight," Guzzo shared, emphasizing his passion for the project. Despite his enthusiasm, he clarified that no official discussions are underway, but his dream is clear: "As far as I know, it's not something that is being discussed above me, but my dream—and probably my favorite horror movie—is the obvious one: The Thing."

Guzzo admits that bringing *The Thing* into the game presents unique challenges, such as potential design problems due to the nature of the mimic murderer. Still, he remains determined to see it happen one day. "It’s the one series I am on a crusade to get done at some point," he reiterated.
Creative Director Dave Richard echoed the sentiment of continually seeking new horror icons to add to the game. While discussing dream Killers, Richard mentioned Pennywise as a villain he believes would be "amazing" to include. However, his ambitions extend beyond one or two names. "There are other kings of horror that would be amazing to have," Richard stated. "You could guess any one of them, I’m thinking. Frankly, I just want to collect them all."
Richard also brought up less obvious candidates like Cujo and Christine from Stephen King's works, suggesting that even non-human characters could be adapted into the game. "The other ones that we always share, too," he added, "they could be mostly a joke, but I think there’s a way to make it work, especially now in the timeline: Cujo. Christine."
As *Dead by Daylight* approaches its ninth anniversary, the game continues to evolve and expand its universe. The *Five Nights at Freddy's* Chapter, featuring Springtrap and a new pizzeria map, is set to launch on June 17.
