In a recent interview with Decider, Jerome revealed that he hasn't even begun recording lines for the film, indicating that production is still in the planning stages. "No, I wish," Jerome remarked when asked about the start of production. "We haven’t started up yet. A lot of things being figured out, but good things."
Given that the second film in the series was released five years after the first in 2023, the delay in starting production on Beyond the Spider-Verse doesn't come as a complete surprise. Fans of the franchise may have to wait until at least 2026 for the next chapter, according to Deadline, though aligning with the previous film's timeline could push the release to 2028.
