Death Stranding 2 Development Updates
New Feature Allows Players To Clear Bosses Without Combat
Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (DS2) introduces a groundbreaking feature designed to cater to players of all skill levels. In the latest episode of Koji Pro radio broadcasts on April 14, DS2 Director Hideo Kojima unveiled that players can now clear boss encounters without engaging in combat.
Kojima detailed that upon failing a boss fight, players can opt to press "continue" on the game over screen. This choice allows them to bypass the combat and instead experience the narrative through a series of images and text, reminiscent of a visual novel. This innovative approach ensures that players can still grasp the story's context without the need for combat skills.
Death Stranding 2 Around 95% Complete
Hideo Kojima shared exciting news about the game's progress, stating that Death Stranding 2 is now 95% complete. He likened the development stage to "10 o’clock (PM)" on a 24-hour clock, indicating that only a couple of hours remain before the game is fully ready.
Set to continue directly from the events of the original game, DS2 has been the subject of much anticipation. At the recent South by South West (SXSW) event, Kojima Productions and Sony provided a glimpse into the game's storyline and introduced new characters that have sparked significant interest among fans.
The 10-minute trailer showcased at the event not only highlighted the narrative but also teased a character resembling Solid Snake, along with other new story elements and gameplay features.
