DOOM: The Dark Ages will allow players to make demons less aggressive in the settings

DOOM: The Dark Ages, launching May 15th, aims for maximum accessibility. Unlike previous id Software titles, it boasts extensive customization options, a key focus for executive producer Marty Stratton. This includes adjusting enemy difficulty, damage, projectile speed, player damage, and even pacing, aggression, and parry timing.

Stratton confirmed the narrative of DOOM: The Dark Ages is self-contained, understandable even without prior DOOM experience.

The game, revealed at the Xbox Developer_Direct, brings the Slayer to the dark ages, powered by the idTech8 engine for enhanced visuals and performance. Ray tracing enhances the brutal combat with realistic shadows and dynamic lighting. Minimum, recommended, and ultra settings have been pre-released to allow players optimal preparation.
